Sorry y'all! I told myself I'd blog more towards the end of last year and now here we are, over a year later, radio silence. If you have me on twitter-- sorry but I deactivated it because social media poisoning? Doing it's magic.

I had to buy and make an InsaneJournal specifically for my own mental health and things. It's going pretty alright, it's a SUPER recent occurrence, but it's nice. All my specific entries are real private because I really cannot deal with the judgmentalness of others when it comes to my rather fragile mental health. It does make us human when we share it, yes, but the deeper intricacies? Normal people would balk at the concept of sharing that deeply about their experiences, esp if it's traumatizing.

I'm still writing! You can't tell because I haven't posted a goddamn thing.

I haven't uploaded much because when you have over 50 works to upload... you just get overwhelmed almost immediately. LOL

I've been so excited to seek out art to commission. Since I write for a small fandom and hardly have an audience because of my choice in pairings (since let's face it, people don't read outside of their preferred pairings) I have to fill in the void from lack of interaction and pay for my own gratification. Considering how rough life has been, it just brings me so much joy to see my original characters or canon pairs just having a great time together.

If someone where to gift me something with any of my pairings, I would absolutely prefer something for a pairing that is rare-- very rare. While I will enjoy seeing something of Seifer/Squall, there's a good chance I could just look up what I want. A fic or piece of art will be fine.

Day 18: Recall a time when two of your fandoms collided, at least in some way. For example, a song that you fell in love with from one fandom showed up in a second fandom.

I feel this only really applies to people that watch shows and uh... I don't partake in enough shows that have this happen. And if it did, sounds like something that occurred when I used to watch Degrassi and would tune in to another random show and saw the same show in there. LOL

Day 13: Squicks - What are some things that squick you in fandom - not necessarily "icky", though it can be. From anything involving blood, to bad grammar.

*Gets on Soapbox* POOR CHARACTERIZATION TO MAKE A PAIRING WORK, POOR CHARACTERIZATION TO JUSTIFY POOR TREATMENT OF THE MAIN CAST AND ABSOLUTE DISREGARD FOR A CHARACTERS FLAWS TO MAKE THEM MORE "DESIRABLE" OR ALTERNATIVELY, UTILIZING THEIR BAD FLAWS TO PROMOTE TOXIC ENCOUNTERS/RELATIONSHIPS!

It's one thing when that's the intention, it's another thing when it's unintentional and the writer thinks they're writing something good. This is one of the other reasons why I don't read most canon or juggernaut pairings. I hate this so much.

Day 14: What fandom broke your heart?

I'm not even sure. I've long stopped being disappointed and just wear it. I don't know if this is in regards to fandom interactions or even the overall piece of media in itself... hmm.

Day 15: What fandom pairing took you over like Venom took over Eddie?

Probably a tie between Vegebul, Gladnis, and Zutara. All for different reasons too but they all share one thing in common: I overindulged myself by reading a lot of it since there is so much to comb through to read.

Day 16: Do you have a fandom that you follow - either regularly or casually - with little to no knowledge of canon?

Absolutely not since I am not a fan of being fandom blind.

The June Something Days 9 - 12

Not gonna lie... I'd probably be interested in seeing a Dissidia version of Love Island LMFAO. I need to know how the hell that'll play out since a lot of the people in the world of Dissidia are "canonically taken" but I don't care about that. I want to know if within that realm of Dissidia, could they find love with someone else and actually continue to pursue them?

Bonus: I want the show unscripted.

Day 10: Drop your OTP or small ensemble from the fandom they're in into another fandom - how do they do?

I think about how Squall/Selphie/Zell or Squall/Seifer would do in the world of FF15 a lot. Truly, I think they would do well as being apart of the Kingsglaive and traveling around from Insomnia, to Duscae to Lestallum. I feel Seifer would like Lestallum and Squall might like Altissia. Zell would definitely be down to go to the area where Titan is to probably see a volcano and absorb every piece of information possible and Selphie would be their Prompto, taking a whole bunch of pictures and upping it to her version of her blog there.

Day 11: What would make you leave a fandom, or prevent you from getting into it in the first place?

The fanbase would easily make me uninterested. I have to passively indulge in Kpop because of the newer stans being annoying. I am successfully scared away from the Voltron fandom even though I wanted to originally get into. My earlier mention of hesitation about embracing FF7 fandom again because of the Remake just leaves a sour taste in my mouth. So honestly... loud, obnoxious, and gatekeeping fans are one way to make me disinterested or not return. Hell, even for Overwatch, I refuse to write McHanzo fanfiction ever again.

So yeah, I'm good lmao.

Day 12: Who is someone that you share the most fandoms with?

Honestly? Probably my friend Risa. She's pretty neat and we met each other over Twitter back in the day and officially met in 2019 when I went to Chicago for the Dreamcatcher concert. We had a great time despite my headache during the concert TT___TT

But we share a handful of FF fandoms, we share similar interests in Kpop since we got into it around the same time, we share an interest in NieR/Drakengard, fighting game fandoms (which is huge because I missed consuming so much of it) and probably a few others. I adore her and I hope we can remain friends in and out of fandoms. c:

The June Something Days 5 - 8

Day 5: Compare and/or contrast your very first fandom obsession and your very latest fandom obsession.

I wasn't obsessed with Sailor Moon, but I was definitely obsessed with Final Fantasy 7. That fandom is on the different side of the same coin as FF8, which none of the latter fans want to hear. You don't have to be loud to be unwelcoming. The only difference in comparison to FF7 and FF8 fandom is that that fandom allows for the option of having choice and having a good time with it. If you shipped outside of CloTi vs Clerith debacle, you usually had a pretty good time in your own niche. I knew more peace there even though I was young and didn't understand what that fully means.

With FF8, I've been reading fics for it for years and it's the only fandom that I've consistently returned to for content. The only difference is that now that Squinoa isn't a rare pair anymore (which yes, this is a fact, you hardly ever saw fics of those two because of how disliked Rinoa was), the people that did used to write more creative pairings outside of Seifer/Squall, have either left the fandom or just have no interest in creating for it. Which is disappointing but hey. I guess that's why I'm here. Creating the stories that I not only want to see but hope those quiet shippers of pairings lost in the realms of internet can return to enjoy once again.

Day 6: What's a fandom that you wish had a bigger following?

13 Sentinels or Shadow Hearts. However. I don't want it too big. I just wish people played the game and experienced it for the first time. Considering I've been apart of large fandoms... I don't want it getting too big. I don't want the drama that comes with bigger fandoms either.

Day 7: What's the longest time you've been in a fandom. Not necessarily your oldest fandom, but a fandom that you started and still continue to read/write/create content for in some way.

Probably Dragon Ball Z because I do still periodically read Vegebul fics since it's one of the rare canon pairings I absolutely love and enjoy the dynamic of. Which tells a lot about my character as a whole lmfao. I'm a piece of work and I love to see that piece of work treated with care. Second to DBZ is definitely FF7, however, as of lately after the FF7R-- I am very much hesitant to even bother reading new works. You more than likely will find me reading old works or re-reading older works that are my favorite.

Day 8: Crack!fic - We all know it. What's your opinion of it, and if you want, show us an example.

Controversially, a lot of the rare pairs I enjoy is technically crack pairings. So I guess I'm an endorser of crack fic? Probably crack fic being taken seriously because then you're reading about two characters you didn't think about at all (or put much thought into them) and suddenly you're invested in how they're going to go about their trials and tribulations. This is literally how most of my preferred pairings started, as fics that I didn't think I would enjoy and wound up loving. But if crack fic is just being crack fic? Hmm... depending on what it is, I might read it. I doubt I'll write my own lmfao.

The June Something Days 1 - 4

Day 1: What's changed about your fandom life in the last 365 days?

Nothing. I'm still writing FF8 like I was in 2020. I guess the productivity and the rate I'm uploading has changed? I'm already writing more than I did last year according to AO3. I have been exposed to fic exchanges (which I'm quickly learning are not for me, I'd rather just treat fics if possible) and fandom fests (which are more my thing). Made more welcoming FF8 fandom and overall friends and that's... about it?

Day 2: You've got your OTP, you have to throw a third into the mix (from the same fandom), creating an OT3. Who is the OTP, and in your opinion, why would they make a perfect third for them? Bonus question: What about adding a third to your OTP from a different fandom? Who and why?

Honestly, I already ship the Timber Trio together. Selphie and Squall is my OTP and adding Zell isn't even a question, it's an answer. I think the more interesting OTP is Squall and Seifer with the potential of adding Zell to the mix. I think that would be fun. Clearly, Squall and Seifer have to be older because I don't see Zell openly interested in dating Seifer while they're a bunch of stupid teens. Maybe when they're grown. It'd be fun, it'd be great and I'd have a good time.

Day 3: What's a favorite, or at least memorable fandom meeting/interaction that you've had?

I have predominantly bad fandom experiences. The Kataang vs Zutara battles of 2008 to forever, which is hilarious because I only mentioned liking Zutara together because I thought their dynamic was neat and I wished the show creators actually stuck with putting them together to getting harassed by folks that felt threatened that people would have opinions about their own canon ships. Honestly, teen me should've known from then on that this would be the pattern in my fandom life.

From the McHanzo Server in 2017 where people would be ridiculed and bullied for not portraying the ship in a way that meets exoticism standards (but they swear that isn't what that is). To early last year in the FF8 (stylized F F V I I I) server (I found it via one of Skrible's links on tumblr). That's where I got into a heated argument while walking on my way home in the rain with someone who I now have blocked everywhere (hopefully) because they have no conception of reality over a fiction, because fiction is their reality.

Genuinely, I like curating my own fandom spaces and creating conversations with people that are interested in having them. I may write for a fandom, but that doesn't mean me and the others within the fandom will ever see eye to eye on anything, ever. Fandoms with canon pairings (imo) tend to have hive mentalities, and it's even worse when the fandom is large and saying anything remotely critical about their beloved main ship is grounds for harassment. If I have one piece of advice for them, that's to get a grip. All we're doing is taking two characters from a piece of media and making them kiss. In the grand scheme of things, no one cares. Fandom shouldn't be your personality.

Day 4: What are the origins of your penname/username?

Honestly, I wanted to look for a word that was better than "revive" and I found this old word. This was supposed to be in alignment with the Phoenix motif my Overwatch OC, Shivani had. I wish I could change it to SapientesGladio instead-- my main fandom penname. The origins of that is mostly from the video game, Shadow Hearts: Covenant, which is one of my favorite games (in companionship with the first game). The name means Sages of the Sword and is about an organization that used to be for good in Covenant, but then had it's name dragged through the mud because of Grigori Rasputin (in the context of the game, this didn't exist IRL).

I like to peek in the different exchanges via the server to see what's going on, what's closed, what isn't, etc. And man... I want to cry for whoever didn't sign up or forgot to put this in their signs up: Rinoa Heartilly/Original Female Character (FF VIII). I would have... written this. LMFAO

Maybe even different varieties because I have so many female OCs, main and side in the drafts. LOL I just want an excuse to write Sapphic!Rinoa.

I finished my Zine entry, but barely. It was wild.

I'm Alive

I'm doing swell-ish. I'm just been burrowed under so many WIPs and at least one of them is for an exchange and another is for a Zine. Unfortunately for me when I was supposed to come up with fics for both of these things that have obligatory deadlines, I was coming up with ideas and stories for things outside of them that had captured my attention.

Technically Escapril follows under the same guidelines, but one of the prompts has truly spoken to me and I've been crafting a story to fit into one of the prompts. It's (shocker) going to be FF8 related and revolves around the concept of life after death. Which I spun on its head and turning it into a reincarnation journey for Squall and co to find each other again. Of course, my OC makes a special appearance since she is the love interest. The banner for it is right here.

Y'all will be seeing it on AO3 when I get at least the prelude up. Depending on how long it is, I might have to break that in half or I might have to break the real chapter one of the story in half. We'll see~ I have it outlined for six chapters so far, but I know that some of these chapters can genuinely be broken up.

Another thing is that I happened upon the fixedthatforyou_fest and obviously, my calling had truly summoned me there. I posted some prompts and knowing me... I will probably end up editing to post more. My first prompt list can be seen here and is very FF8-centric with a sprinkle of other fandoms. I am very well aware that the type of media I consume and write are things that I enjoy but find something that could be improved. Hopefully, someone is bold enough to write any of the prompts I have. I honestly put the "any" prompts for anyone that want options of going hog wild for any fandom, any pairing, and the selected situation given. Give the folks what they want and the creative freedom in doing so.

Thinking about participating in the dick_or_treat since it does seem interesting and I would like to try to actually do something for it. Especially if I can participate in something that has a low word count but can be particularly spicy. It can give me some sort of redemption for defaulting in S4S. Sigh.

I will see what I can do, and hope that maybe some of my more NSFW WIPs might be able to fill in the blanks.

Secondly, absolutely no solo-Squinoa (Squall/Rinoa)* and Selvine (Selphie/Irvine). They can be the exes that are besties with one another. Hell, put Rinoa/Irvine together as a background couple if you want. I only want the aforementioned relationships mentioned briefly.

Also please do not characterized Zell and/or Selphie as "annoying". It's so unnecessary and genuinely makes me upset when I read that in fics. Give them life past the surface level.

If writing Seifer, do not, I cannot stress this enough, do not intentionally make them aggressive and sacrifice his personality to create the bad boy aesthetic that's given to this poor man.

Lion's Rapture - (Squall/Selphie)

This is my OTP since my very first playthrough as kid playing this game. I absolutely adore these two and I have always appreciated how Selphie is the only character that always asked Squall what he wants to do and never told him what he should do. She gets him in some ways and is very understanding.

I am a fan of these two being bisexual, exploring each other. Anywhere from starting to date in their early twenties to be married and trying to recreate their spicier, heated moments. About to be retired from SeeD, why not try to fuck on the Ragnarok? Though honestly, fucking during missions? Yo that'd be pretty rad.

Sexual needs aside: I love them hanging out! Squall realizing that he has a lot more in common with Selphie than he expected and Selphie realizing it's the same way the other way around. Huge fan of them traveling together, either due to work or they wanted to explore somewhere new together. Maybe for Selphie's blog? Maybe for ideas of what to do for retirement? Goals, aspirations, life after SeeD. This is my jam. I love that for them.

Burning The Lion's Wall/Timber Trio- (Zell/Squall/Selphie)

Truthfully speaking, I've come to enjoy these three as not only genuinely compatible beacons in Squall's life but also a closed polyamorous relationship between them. Zell seems like the type to always being down to fuck even though he doesn't want to seem annoying. All SeeDs are light sleepers due to their training so if late night activities occurred while they all slept in the bed together (not somnophilia), it'd prove to be a great time!

I feel that all three of them definitely enjoy time on the beach or trying out new foods. Zell is an adventurer that loves bringing stuff back from his missions to his mom, so of course, gotta bring their relationship to show her. Maybe Mama Dincht is relieved that her son has two people to keep her boy in line when she's not around.

Squall and Laguna could be patching up their relationship and that could include introducing his boyfriend and girlfriend to them. Maybe they're trying to figure out what to do when they all retire.

Or, maybe... just maybe... these kids (young adults, early 20s folk) are trying to club and something goes array. A fist fight breaks out, escaping from the police in the event that the place they went into was actually where all the shady business dealings happens, etc. Ya know. Just Hot Girl SeeD shit.

Magic Resistance- (Quistis/Rinoa)

Personal bias of me thinking that Quistis is a better candidate for being Rinoa's love interest aside~ I would enjoy something of this pairing. Rinoa convincing Quistis to taking a vacation and they spend time together. Quistis deserves all sorts of pampering, relaxation and enjoyment of her very adorable girlfriend.

Ngl, I am very interested in both Rinoa being inexperienced with women or Quistis being not as kinky as one would think because she wields a whip. Honestly, she probably thought it was cool.

I want these two to have some great date nights together, going out dancing, celebrating their first year together, anything and everything that's self-indulgent, gay and very lovely and wholesome. Rinoa would literally be bringing the best out of Quistis and Quistis would be helping Rinoa get her shit together sometimes. I also would like to think that one of the steps it takes for Rinoa and Caraway's relationship to improve is to forgive and move on. Maybe a conversation Quistis has with Rinoa is in-line with what caused Quistis and the Trepe family to just part ways since it wasn't working out. Maybe it would shed line on what Rinoa has taken for granted?

Destined Romantic Dream- *(Squall/Rinoa/Seifer)**

This is the only time I will allow for anything remotely "Squinoa" and that's if Seifer is thrown into the mix. I really do feel that Seifer is the glue that holds this type of relationship together. A constant and familiar face that helps them. Plus, they would be able to be quite encouraging to Seifer without babying him (at least Squall would).

This is a trouple that would certainly benefit from balancing off of one another. Also I think it would be really cute to see them do fun things together, have spicy evenings in or the two of them dragging poor introverted Squall to go do some extroverted activities. Hell, even having a game night with their friends and the competitiveness that can spring from Seifer's nature to goad Squall.

Anything fluffy and romantic, domestic and wholesome or downright spitroasting is cool with me.

Bonus, if there is spitroasting, it cannot be Squall in the middle. Extra challenge if somehow Seifer is in the middle.

Romantic Dream- (Rinoa/Seifer)

My favorite firecracker of a couple and another OTP of mine that I wish... actually had more screentime in the game. I want to see how their lives have been post-game, Seifer, a man full of pride, probably seeking for forgiveness or at least trying to repair what they had. AUs are absolutely alright to be had here. I am definitely open to anything fun or even with these two married reminiscing on their second wave of dating one another and thinking about all the craziness had.

Windstorm- (Squall/Fujin)

I enjoy these two and I have since the early 2000s, it just sucks that there is very limited content. Trust me, look it up on AO3, I'm responsible for 2 of the 3 fics on there.

I always imagined that these two either dated prior to the events of the game or at least had some interesting attraction towards one another. Fujin, a woman of honest and concise words, Squall, a man of few words but loves Triple Triad. Who knows what can happen? Plus I wouldn't be surprised if Seifer's very adventurous influence has rubbed off on his friends, Fujin especially.

No clue what this pair would get up to, but I do enjoy seeing them together. Get creative. I could put my own headcanons in there, but that'll ruin the inspiration you may or may not get from thinking about these two.

I'm absolutely open to Octane having always been in love with Lifeline, it's just a matter on acting on win. Wouldn't be surprised if his extremely active self put into action the most rockin' romantic dinner / display of desire towards his best friend.

Absolutely has to be consenting, though the passion each other has for each other, could very well catch the other off guard. They hang out, have a confession. Or they have already been dating and just open

Lobalore - (Loba Andrade/Anita Williams)

These two have absolutely grown on me after the debacle of Season 5's whodunnit. I am definitely open to their relationship becoming something romantic in nature. The voice lines since that season have been nothing but charged with sexual tension and I would like to see it. They can be dating behind the scenes and keep their relationship private since that's no one's elses business.

Hell, Loba could've invited Bangalore onto her ship and they could've started regularly clapping cheeks there. Who can stop'em?

Lobahound - (Loba Andrade/Bloodhound)

The Pathfinder Lore Book and Season 7 really giving me the greatest hits with these two. The subtly of how they are close to one another and understand each other. This is definitely great grounds for a friendship to turn into more. Especially since during the Season 5 event, Bloodhound never once accused Loba of anything opposed to most of the Legends involved.

I have a headcanon of Bloodhound being somewhere on the Ace (asexual) spectrum, but not to the point of being sex repulsed. Quite the contrary, they are known to entertain people every so often but not always does it involve physical contact (I wouldn't be surprised if Bloodhound maintains their clothes for strangers). Sometimes there's cheek clapping involved and being wrapped in the furs of previous hunts with someone on the floor in their village. Who knows? So much to do~

I do like the concept of them hanging out at Bloodhound's village or even on Loba's ship. What stories do they have to tell? Especially since Bloodhound seems to find themselves enamored with traveling and talking to other travelers to find out the places they've been.

Nirvana - (Squall/Yuna)

I have loved this pairing since Duodecim and it's so obscure that it makes me cry. This could very much be set in a Cycle that they remember each other if they built a strong enough bond. Or, set in an AU where they're dating each other and want to take things to the next level.

Squall finds Yuna very refreshing and relaxing to be around and Yuna is just drawn to Squall's overall aura. I feel like with the type of person Yuna is, Squall can find himself easily opening up at a rapid rate that wouldn't usually happen. They can probably have so many different conversations, bonding experiences, etc etc.

Freelancing SeeD Troupe - (Bartz/Squall/Zidane)

Ok! So because I have variations of this pairing, I will just separate them under this respective blurb. Them all together is hilarious and also very lovely. These are all characters that are more similar if you look past the surface level. They handle their emotions similarly, they complement each other and they bring out the best in one another. Granted, there's certainly flaws within these boy-os but that's absolutely ok. They would certainly appreciate each other's flaws and uplift each other. I also like to believe that Zidane isn't open to the idea of polyamory, but he definitely can't see himself without either one of them. So it's interesting for him to be like "wow, I have two efficient boyfriends" and they just smile at him when they notice him looking in their direction.

SeeD Troupe - (Squall/Zidane)

I love these two. Point blank period. I am definitely open to a little bit of an AU if Squall was in Zidane's world of Gaia. Mostly because there's more to do and even if it's dated to Squall's standards, there's a more livelier population than the limited population in 8's world.

I know I'm supposed to provide prompts and stuff, but I wonder if it's ok to provide a little bit of an RP background? A friend and I both write Zidane and Squall respectively and we think that Squall and Zidane would very much be shy around one another. Squall for the obvious reasons but Zidane, probably can't gauge how much Squall is into him. We claimed that when the 13th (first Dissidia game) cycle happened and they all had to leave, Squall makes the first move to finally kiss his boyfriend before Zidane left. Even further we joked that Tidus is like "kek you have 2 boyfriends and you ain't even kissed him yet? LEL" and because they went back to their respective worlds in reverse order from 12 to 1, listen. Tidus is well within his rights to think that's absolutely hilarious.

Would it be alright if instead of that "sad" end, those two can get closer and probably be more open about their emotions much earlier? Who knows~ I'm open to pretty much anything (as far as my likes go) with these lovely dudes!

Freelancing Commander - (Bartz/Squall)

I always headcanoned that before Squall returned back to his world, that his first honest brush with love (if it's not with Fujin or Seifer), was with Bartz. An independent older young (listen Bartz is 20, but we know we're gonna age them up) man that just loves to march to the beat of his own drum without caring about what others thought of him. That would seem like something that Squall would envy honestly, but why envy when you could just do the same thing?

The whole song and dance of bonding together, maybe even protecting one another from harm with the Manikins and other things. Patching each other up after fights. Ugh, the possibilities~

Lionhearted Swordmaiden - (Squall/Arciela)

Ok so listen. Please listen. I've been playing Dissidia Opera Omnia and I've been exposed to so many characters from FF11 that I didn't know existed because I did not grow up with or had the means to play this game online. However! I think... ˢᵠᵘᵃˡˡ ᵃⁿᵈ ᴬʳᶜᶦᵉˡᵃ ˡᵒᵒᵏ ʳᵉᵃˡˡʸ ᶜᵘᵗᵉ ᵗᵒᵍᵉᵗʰᵉʳ. So maybe these two can talk more together, Squall learns something new about the Princess and she mentions how Squall would love the world of Vana'diel. Squall shares about how island living is like on Balamb.

They travel together with others, enjoy each other's company. Perhaps they get close~, hold hands, share a cute little chaste kiss or something. Either way, I would love for this to be sated~

Lilith Moon - (Rinoa/Lilisette)

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) (I did the name for the girls into astrology, but combining Lilisette's new Lady Lilith title with Rinoa's/Angelo's Invisible Moon? Ingenius~) So I'm on the ride of wanting more Sapphic!Rinoa content. Therefore, she and Lilisette also get to know one another and Lilisette more than likely is the one to make the first move. Rinoa enjoys Lilisette's friendly vibes and energy and Lilisette probably finds Rinoa incredibly attractive and is interested in her.

Similarly to Squall/Arciela, they probably talk about each other's worlds, the differences, what to do. Get close, ya know. That gay shit I love and sign up for.

If you haven't finished 13 Sentinels, I'm gonna spoil it for you: At the end of the game, you find out that everyone outside of the simulator is 18 years old and that they spend 7 years learning about Old Earth. Making their final age 25 years old when they return to see Miwako. So no, I don't want these folks messing around in the simulator with their teen bodies.

Tomi/Nenji

The chemistry these two have honestly gives me serotonin and I love that for them. Definitely would like to know how their life is during the events after the game has ended and they're crafting the new terraformed planet of new Earth. I wonder if those two travel back to the simulator of 1987 and just enjoy going on dates together as teenagers. Especially since Tomi did enjoy her time originally in the 2010s and she can't show that to Nenji due to it being destroyed. Maybe they try to rebuild everyone's "original" worlds again, if they can.

They have to figure out what to copy and paste into their terraformed New Earth after all. Tomi is the brains and maybe Nenji just follows her lead!

Yuki/Nenji

Honestly... I meant to put Yuki & Ei on here, but I do enjoy the conceptual idea of Yuki/Nenji together. Maybe they shared a past that the game doesn't delve into. It appears that they don't know their 2188 selves, but... that could definitely be different. A scientist and the heir to the Shikishima Conglomerate? I mean, who knows what could happen?

Could also look at them as they are adults in the new world, and they find out they have a lot more in common than they originally thought. This has to be carefully navigated (could be problematic) or it doesn't and everyone is into being poly. Certainly allows from

Yuki/Iori

There seems to be a mutual sort of respect between one another. They both seem remotely clueless about sex (not in the "they're virgins) sense. Maybe they use this as a means to sexually explore one another without issue. Could produce very interesting results considering I think Yuki would enjoy being the more Dominant and Ei would just be evolving. Wouldn't call it a relationship but it could be one...? Definitely has fwb or just sex with friends sort of vibes.

I love these two. Do whatever you want. Ngl, I am very interested in both Rinoa being inexperienced with women or Quistis being not as kinky as one would think because she wields a whip. Honestly, she probably thought it was cool.

The Pathfinder Lore Book and Season 7 really giving me the greatest hits with these two. The subtly of how they are close to one another and understand each other. This is definitely great grounds for a friendship to turn into more. Especially since during the Season 5 event, Bloodhound never once accused Loba of anything opposed to most of the Legends involved.

I have a headcanon of Bloodhound being somewhere on the Ace (asexual) spectrum, but not to the point of being sex repulsed. Quite the contrary, they are known to entertain people every so often but not always does it involve politeness. Sometimes there's cheek clapping involved and being wrapped in the furs of previous hunts with someone on the floor in their village. Who knows? So much to do~

I have loved this pairing since Duodecim and it's so obscure that it makes me cry. This could very much be set in a Cycle that they remember each other if they built a strong enough bond. Or, set in an AU where they're dating each other and want to take things to the next level. Yuna has an untapped Dominance within her and since Squall is pretty versatile, he wouldn't mind helping her get acquainted with telling him what to do in the privacy of the bedroom. Or a tent. Whichever!

SeeD Troupe - (Squall/Zidane)

I've loved Zidane and Squall since they were put together in the 5/8/9 grouping. Dom!Zidane, or Power Bottom!Zidane would definitely be something I'd love to see. Zidane is not above being the romantic flirt that he is and being a tiny bit vanilla, which makes Squall pretty flexible to his partner's needs.

Esper Commander - (Terra/Squall)

Terra is still learning to understand what love is and means to her, why not have her experience it with someone that wants to give love? Terra has probably had sex before but is still inexperienced. Squall is down for letting her explore him and the things she likes. Very Inexperienced / experienced who allows their body to be explored by the other. Maybe she wants to attempt to get kinky and Squall is def down for it.

Reverse: Inexperienced man with experienced woman. Or, perhaps both are experienced and they're just enjoying some good ole domestic life. Could be a Fix-It where Ignis isn't blind, Ignis finds someone to help repair his sight somewhat or we can keep it as is. I feel because Ignis is blind, all his other senses are heightened and that includes touch. Aranea finds this interesting and perhaps wants to try being blindfolded herself. This definitely makes the experience exhilarating for both.

Mechanical Dragoon - (Cindy/Aranea)

I love these two. I feel these two definitely have met before the world fell into darkness for a decade but this would be lovely if they built a relationship during those ten years Noctis was sleep. Aranea definitely being the driving force of sending her men out to make sure that Hammerhead stays alive during these times where daemons run amok.

Stress relief is definitely in play and coming to Lestallum for a few days could bring that necessary need.

Disclaimer: I just wanted to incorporate some of my own Sorceress lore and worldbuilding in FF8. I have been sitting on my lore for a little over a year and I figured "What better way than to incorporate it than in media?" and then make them discuss said media.

The Timber Trio watch a historical drama with romantic elements on a movie loosely based on real-life Sorceress Zenobia, the once Queen of Northern Centra during its Golden Era. The movie is up know-it-all Zell’s alley, yet it resonates within Squall and provokes some curious questions from his close companions and even within himself.

Historians are never wrong when they say that history, as a cycle, tends to repeat itself.

Disclaimer: I wrote these on my phone a few months back. This was intended to all be 3 separate one shots, but then it turned into 3 different chapters. Y'all just get it all in one because I'm lazy. Welcome to my New Years Eve Madness. Writing Zell like this is so interesting and fun. May or may not have gone overboard with the dirty talk with him but I know he's having fun! This is clearly set while they're in their early, maybe mid-20s.
